I started pet sitting as a hobby while living in the Bay Area (1996). At the young age of 8 years old, I had my first job for my next door neighbors (3 black labs, and 4 cats). Neighbors heard that I had done a very well job, and started spreading the word. In the next couple of years, I had obtained a number of clients to pet sit for. My clients started asking how much I charged, and I told them nothing (it was my hobby) but many of them insisted on paying me. Then I moved, still in the Bay Area and again by word of mouth, I gained many clients. I was very upset when my family moved away from all of my furry friends (in 2005 to Roseville). I worked at the Rocklin Park Veterinary Hospital from 2006 until 2011 and many of my clients came from there. I moved back to the Bay area permanately and now work at The Whole Pet Vet in Los Gatos. I am now turning my hobby into a dream job, and hope to expand it one day into a full business so that I can focus all of my energy into it. I love what I do and aspire to one day open a doggie daycare and natural pet food store.

My experiences with animals include:
  • My first job was at the age of 12 as a kennel attendant at The Pet Spa
  • I started volunteering at Los Gatos Dog and Cat Hospital at the young age of 13.
  • I was in 4-H as a child (with my rabbits)
  • I have raised 3 CCI puppies (www.cci.org)
  • I have done Pet Assisted Therapy with two of my dogs (www.furryfriends.org)
  • I am a foster mom for Fieldhaven rescue (www.fieldhaven.com)
  • My seccond job was at Wildwood Veterinary clinic at the age of 15
  • I worked at Petsmart, specializing in nutrition and dog training
  • I worked at Rocklin Park Veterinary Hospital as a Technician for 6 years
  • I currently work at the Whole Pet Vet in Los Gatos
  • I have had my own menagerie of animals, including 6 dogs, 12 cats, 4 rabbits, a goat, a horse and many mice, rats, snakes,  lizards, frogs and fish
